Hello and Welcome!  My name is Janet Bogardus.  I teach childbirth education classes, serve as a labor support doula and offer breastfeeding guidance. As a birth expert, with a decade of experience assisting families like yours, I am here to help you prepare with confidence for birth and parenthood.

Childbirth Classes

Looking for childbirth classes that work with your schedule?  Many busy New Yorkers find it hard to commit to a 12-week series or weekend intensive. I can craft a custom childbirth class tailored to your unique needs and interests. You’ll gain valuable knowledge and a big plus is that my cost is less than many group classes.

Birth Doula Services

Perhaps you are interested in having a labor professional at your birth.  As a labor support doula, I have had the privilege of attending over 100 births in the New York City area since 2008.  Your child’s birth is one of the most important days of your life and so I make it mine as well.  Whether this is your first baby or your fourth, I will be 100% present for you during this emotional, empowering, transcending experience.

Since 2006, I have been on faculty at Mt. Sinai West (formerly known as Roosevelt Hospital). Through my work both inside and outside the hospital I have helped thousands of families from the New York City area including Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, Westchester and Northern New Jersey.  Based in Manhattan, I live with my husband, two dynamic teenage daughters and loveable dog Mars.  I do make house calls: are you ready to get started?
